Dr. Béatrice Conde-Petit, Chef Food Safety Officer of Bühler AG, is a Swiss scientist, well recognized as an expert by Food Safety community worldwide. Dr. Conde holds a PhD in Food Science and Technology from ETH in Zurich, one of the top universities in the world for engineering and technology.
For 20 years she worked at EHT Zürich as researcher and lecturer, and as consultant to the international industry and governmental organizations. Dr. Conde's research interests are heavily focused on dry feed and food processing technologies. Her strong background in grain product and process design based on a food material science approach is well acknowledged by peers.
Since joining Buhler in 2008 Dr. Conde has been leading a research team in Buhler's Cooperated Technology Center working at the interface of science, technology and industrial applications, and developing innovative solutions for meeting the increasing challenges the world faces today, i.e. ensuring safety, reducing waste, satisfying local needs and safeguarding the value of food crops from field to dinner table. Along the food processing value chain animal feed is an important link. Dr. Conde is a leading Animal Feed Safety advocate and has held workshops and delivered speeches to the feed industries around world to educate the people, create feed safety awareness and promote safe feed processing practices. She has published over 60 papers in the field of food science and technology.
